I am alarmed by Canada's eldercare system. More and more American and Chinese multinational corporations are taking over eldercare in this country. I want to change the landscape of eldercare in this country by pairing sanctuary needs of elders, animals and the land together in one formula for longer living Canadians, living in healthier conditions, close to family and community.
I am looking for someone with a 50+ or - acreage, or someone willing to invest in the purchase of acreage to build an elder community , comprising of 10-20 elders living on farmland, in tiny homes, surrounding animals and gardens that supply them with energy, purpose and nutrition. I believe this model of care addresses the issues of our times, keeps our "eyes to the acres" ( in the words of Wendell Berry) and ensures natural deaths instead of the sterile ones in front of us all.
I have a business plan in the works, and more importantly, I am very ready to move to the land...to find land and enterprise that might support an elder community.
Perhaps there is an aging farmer who would consider this type of restructuring of land use...I still want to grow crops for the tenants, and a crop to sell, but we would be building tiny houses as a supportive community on a farm.
Love to hear back from similarly inspired people.
